“To write stories concerning exclusions and invisibilities is to write ghost stories. To write ghost stories implies that ghosts are real, that is to say, that they produce material effects. To impute a kind of objectivity to ghosts implies that, from certain standpoints, the dialectics of visibility and invisibility involve a constant negotiation between what can be seen and what is in the shadows” -Avery Gordon in Ghostly Matters
Global Anglophone Eelam Tamil Literature is a literary blog which features and converses with diasporic Tamil Eelam (Sri Lankan) literature written in English. While the focus of the blog is to provide critical analysis of contemporary fiction and poetry, it is also a database featuring works published during and after 2000. The goal of this blog is to bring awareness to contemporary anglophone Tamil literature and serve as an introductory reference tool for those interested in delving into this vastly emerging body of literature.
